112. EXT. PARK. DAY.
The TWO BUS DRIVERS STAND in front of the NOTICE BOARD at ONE corner of the PARK as they fix their gaze on the BOARD discussing.
BUS DRIVER I
Bros, things are getting out of hand in this park oo!
BUS DRIVER II
My brother, we all know that but what can we do. Ever since Jeff left this it’s either one form of useless increment in levy or the other.
BUS DRIVER I
I suspect that the chairman and the secretary are strongly behind this.
BUS DRIVER II
Of course, we all know that; they’re crooks but we can’t do anything, they run the affairs of the park.
BUS DRIVER I
Ah! Bros, why are you talking like this? Me and you can change a lot of evils in this park. Don’t forget we’re Christians and it’s not in our nature to fold our arms and let evil thrive. We can stop this act of injustice in this park.
BUS DRIVER II
Honestly, it hurts me so bad that every day, we wake up early and hit the road and by the time you return home to your family in the evening, you barely have little or nothing to take to them because unnecessary levies in the park have already taken a larger percentage of it. God! I’m really tired of this sort of life; we’re university graduates with impressive qualifications yet we can’t find decent jobs.
BUS DRIVER I
Bros, stop complaining, God has really been good to us, both of us will agree that to a large extent this commuting business have really favoured us, at least we got married from the proceeds and were still able to pursue our master’s degrees doing the same business. Come on! Stop complaining, it’s only recently that things have taken a bad shape but we must look for a way to correct them.
BUS DRIVER II
How? I mean how do we intend to do that?
BUS DRIVER I
We both went to school, right?
BUS DRIVER II
Yes, and what about it?
BUS DRIVER I
Of course, you know the chairman is a stark illiterate.
BUS DRIVER II
Apparently, so what’s the solution?
BUS DRIVER I
Don’t worry; just give me two days I will come up with something. Relax! Cheer up, God is in control.
BUS DRIVER II
I pray so.
BUS DRIVER I
Don’t only pray, believe that with all your heart, things must definitely change here.
113. INT. LUCY’S RES. NIGHT.
LUCY and COLLINS are in the FORMER’S LIVING ROOM talking.
LUCY
You mean your land lord actually kicked you out of the apartment because of Jeff?
COLLINS
Sweet heart, he did just because of him, a friend I’m squatting in my own rented apartment.
LUCY
This is terrible. People and ingratitude, so, where have you been putting up?
COLLINS
I have been in a hotel since it happened.
LUCY
You don’t have to waste money on hotel bills when you can stay in my place.
COLLINS
No darling, I shouldn’t bother you, you really need your privacy.
LUCY
Come on darling! Me and you are one, so whatever belongs to me, also belongs to you, you’re staying right here with me.
COLLINS
Well, if you say so, your wish is my command.
LUCY
Good! That’s my baby. Now, guess what?
COLLINS
You tell me, you know I’m not really good at guessing.
LUCY
I prepared a sumptuous meal of friend rice.
COLLINS
Wow! That’s my favourite.
LUCY
I know, so, why don’t we go to the kitchen together and get it?
COLLINS
Sure! Why not.

115. INT. FIBERISIMA’S RES. NIGHT.
MRS. FIBERISIMA in their LIVING ROOM, looking very perturbed as she speaks to her HUSBAND concerning the DINNER DATE with KEN and NGOZI.
MRS. FIBERISIMA

CHIEF FIBERISIMA
You had better forget about ken and expect only her. I told you, ken wouldn’t come.
MRS. FIBERISIMA
I wonder why she’s not here either.
CHIEF FIBERISIMA
Why don’t you call her on phone?
MRS. FIBERISIMA
I have been doing that but it appears her phone is switched off or something.

My daughter, welcome, what kept you long? We’ve been waiting, in fact we thought you’re no longer going to make it, you see…
CHIEF FIBERISIMA
Ah-ah! Woman, why don’t you allow her to sit first before bothering her with your questions?
MRS. FIBERISIMA
Oh! Please, forgive me; can we proceed to the dining table for dinner?
CHIEF FIBERISIMA
Sure!
