The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra’s (IPOB) sit-at-home order on May 30, to honour their fallen heroes during the Nigerian-Biafran war of 1967 -1970 has completely paralysed commercial activities in all the five states namely, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo in the South-East of Nigeria.

The people of South East adhered strictly to the order, and stayed home, this was in a bid to register their dismay at the marginalisation they have been experiencing from the Federal Government of Nigeria. The ill-treatment meted to the South – East has been on-going since over 50 years. And have been seeking their exist from Nigeria even after their first secession was halted.
