The Supreme Leader of  Indigenous People of Biafra called-off the election boycott after confirming via his verified Facebook Page@MaziNnamdiKanuTheLeaderIPOB that the preexisting conditions he gave to the Federal Government of Nigeria had been, “met, signed, sealed and delivered.”

Earlier, Kanu made his stance clear as regards what would stop his agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra, as well as not to boycott elections in Nigeria with his organisation.

His Words on this issue:

“When I was released from prison, on two occasions, I was approached and told that the president wants me to put in writing, what my requests are asides from outright independence.
“I told them that I want them to open Igwuocha seaport, Warri seaport, Calabar airport, dredge river Niger. I told them I want 100 per cent resource control…I never heard from them again.
“Some of you have stopped talking about Leah Sharibu.
“Some of you have stopped talking about Dasuki, who has been granted bail by different courts of law.
“Nobody is bothered about the wellbeing of the suffering people.
“Southern Kaduna is under siege and all everyone is talking about how to vote.
“We are not going to vote, because we are greater than that nonsense. IPOB will not vote and I will give you reasons.
“Why is Dasuki still in prison?
“Why are IPOB members still in prison?
“Why will a judge say, release El Zakkay and he is still in prison?
“Shame on you who want to vote.”

Apparently, the above conditions are what were agreed upon, and Nigerians look forward to both parties in keeping their own side of the bargain.
