Governor Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, concluded arrangements with a dreaded cult group known as Black Axe Confraternity, to unleash mayhem on the people of the state in the forthcoming elections to ensure that he wins his Senatorial election by hook or crook.
According to our impeccable source, the meeting held at the Entraco office, Owerri, where Okorocha’s son-in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu pledged to arm the cultists and give them cover with legitimate security agents.
He was alleged to have promised to arm them with more than enough ammunition, saying that they have enough in their arsenal, some of which were allegedly recovered from some of the state arranged security outfits – Imo Security Network, Imo Community Watch among others.
Meanwhile, Frank Onwumere,one of the notorious thugs of Okorocha has also said that they are battle ready, revealing that the members of the Community watch have been trained and armed to the teeth. He boasted that they are better militia group to tackle any government security agents, should there be any need.
Meanwhile, Okorocha has been boasting how he would secure his victory for Imo West Senatorial seat, revealing that he has Mr. Dasuki Galadanchi, the Commissioner of police on his side having giving him all he needs including accommodation in one of his houses in Owerri Capital city.
While addressing journalists last week, Tuesady, in Nicks Banquet Hall, government house, Okorocha had also tacitly told newsmen how important the senatorial seat meant to him and hinted that he would do anything possible to win. He urged them to treat as off record since he was talking to them as friends.
Corroborating Okorocha’s stance, his Media aide, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, in the last two editions of his local tabloid, White-Paper, had gloried in Okorocha’s political capacity to have retained Galadanchi against other states who have had their commissioners transferred or outrightly changed.
Kingsley Uju who lost out in the contest due to administrative fraud owing to his double candidature in two political parties, which led to his disqualification is said to have commissioned to handle Ohaji-Egbema area with his gang of miscreants. This may account for his continual campaign despite his qualification just deceive and penetrate strategic areas of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and other oil bearing local government areas.
According to a source from Government House, he revealed that Okorocha knows that he does not stand a chance following his antecedents of negligence against the people of oil bearing communities. Among some of the problems non-remittance of 13% derivative fund accrueable to the oil bearing communities through Imo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ISOPADEC), misappropriation of Amnesty Fund, which at last count hit over N2 billion even as Mrs. Okorocha was commissioned by her husband to manage the last tranch of N500 million, killing of two Oguta youths by security details said to be attached to Okorocha’s Camapiagn train, demolition of Hon. Henry Okafor, estranged Okorocha’s aides country homeand much more.
With the development in the state, following the drums of war, it is imperative the Federal Government act fast to avert avoidable blood shade and prevail against the hatching of evil plots from Okorocha’s camp and other political gladiators.
